Need Some Help?

Answers to All Your Inquiries

What happens after the class? Do I need to pay anything, submit paperwork, fingerprints, etc?

After the class, you will set an appointment online with Identogo. They will accept the paperwork that we give you in class, take $50 for the SLED fee, take your fingerprints, and submit everything electronically on your behalf. You will wait 14-90 days on average and will receive your permit in the mail.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that things happen that are sometimes out of our control. So, we offer the ability to reschedule a course, ONE TIME, with a 24-48hr notice. If you give no notice and miss a class, you are subject to a rescheduling fee of $30. We will allow you to reschedule ONE TIME. You must reschedule within 30 days of a missed course and have a 60 day window of time. There are no refunds.

What happens if it rains?

We will shoot rain or shine. Unless there are unsafe weather conditions, we will shoot. Please dress and prepare accordingly.

What gun should I buy first?

Buy the gun that suits your body type and meets your needs. We recommend that you set a budget, find guns that fit that budget, then handle and if possible, test shoot each gun. Guns have different grip angles, textures, weights, sizes, and are not one size fits all. Our personally recommended brands are: SIG Sauer, Glock, Smith and Wesson, H&K, Canik, CZ, and FN.

Whats a good gun for a lady?

There is no such thing as a ladies gun. There are just guns that suit different folk. People will push women towards revolvers or small guns without showing them the caveats with those platforms. While small guns are cute and hide easily, they are generally harder to control and less pleasant to shoot. Revolvers have less malfunctions but tend to have very heavy trigger pulls and can be bulky. Please do your own research and try several guns for yourself before purchasing.
